Select lots of Pedro Ximénez are destined for oak barrels, sealed and left for decades in single-vintage state. After a minimum of 25 years, vintages are selected for release only when they have attained classic character. This wine was bottled in 2004 having spent 45 years in barrel concentrating it’s lavors. Dark and brooding in color, this is surprisingly fresh and light, combining both fresh and dried ig, grape, raisin and molasses aromas and lavors. Fine balance and length.
