Cies Albariño

Cies is another great white wine made from Albariño and produced by Rodrigo Mendez – a genius when it comes to fine white Albariños. It is a limited production white wine which is hard to seek in the market and is suitable for ageing. This wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks, then it goes through malolactic fermentation followed by afew months in used oak barrels.

Very aromatic nose of pear, spices, membrillo, lemon grass and white flower.

In mouth very pleasant, full fruit flavours such as pear and citrus fruits. Some saline note as well. It is rich and creamy, long finish, a lot of personality in this wine.
50% of this wine spends 3 months in oak barrels
6ºC - 8ºC
Can be perfectly drunk as an appetizer , paired with complex salads, white meat, grilled seafood, such as lobster or prawns. Also perfect with sushi.
